A Caution:
It is getting almost common for sellers to be contacted by a scammer regarding
'For Sale' listings on websites. They will ask how much for the boat and then
say they want to buy it and send a down payment check (it's a fake check of
course). They will ask you to send money to an "inspection agent" that he has
"contracted with" to look at the boat before the final purchase. They are
hopeful to get your money before you find out the check is bad.

1981 Johnson E-Scow for sale, $2,000.00.
The boat is stiff but needs some TLC on the running rigging and it is not
converted. Two inventories of sails (One set from another E-Scow destroyed in
hurricane Isabel.) Extra rudders and one extra bilge board. Includes a very good

2002 Melges E Scow package:
converted to aft chainplates and asymmetrical by Scow Works; mainsails 2005 and
2008 North AP; jibs 2008 L/M, second 2008 L/M, and 2008 M/H; spinnakers 2008
North, 2008 Quantum, and 2010 North; envelope bottom cover; top cover; 1985
steel trailer. The boat has been
regularly maintained and is up to date in good to excellent condition and stiff.
Used in fresh water with few exceptions.

Johnson E-Boat that was originally Peter Slocum’s boat. It was
converted to the asym rig by Windward Boatworks in the spring of 2008. It
comes complete with a Melges Galvanized trailer, Melges top cover, Hewitt
Aluminum boat lift and sails:

1989 Melges E, Standard rig, Trailer,
Newer Cover, Bunks, Sails hoisted only a dozen times or so in the light air of
Spring Lake. Top batten main with a tape jib both in excellent condition
and the runner and reacher spinnakers are also in great shape. All the
controls work but, she shows cosmetic flaws from use but, has been a very
dependable ride. This boat would be great for a cabin, or starter, or just

The E-Scow is the old V-9
now SC-2 she is in good shape I have fixed
all the minor dings and scratches. She is
converted to the asym rig with standard
spreaders and running backs. I have 2 top
covers that are in good shape and 2 bottom
covers that are in fair to poor shape. The
aluminum trailer is in good shape. I have
some good to fair sails including a asym
spinnaker with 2 seasons on it. The boat is
in Charleston SC and I will deliver it for
expenses.

I am looking to add some color to my sail inventory. Specifically, I am looking
for a recent YELLOW North symmetrical Reacher in good condition to go with the
color of the deck of my boat. I’ll trade 2 of my spinnakers, a 2006 North runner
