NOTICE OF REGATTA

2014 TRYC FALL ONE DESIGN SERIES E-Scows, Flying Scots, and Ensigns

October 19th, 26th, November 2nd, 9th, and 16th


RULES

  1. 1.1  The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the respective class association rules, except as any of these rules are changed by the Sailing Instructions or any appendices to the Sailing Instructions.

  2. 1.2  Notices: Changes to the sailing instructions will be posted on the official bulletin board in the clubhouse.

SCHEDULE OF RACES

  1. 2.1  The Skippers Meeting will convene at 11:00 AM on the first Sunday of the series, and at the same time on subsequent Sundays as necessary. The first race will start between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM as indicated on the official notice board.

  2. 2.2  The race committee will start five races per week as allowed by weather conditions.

  3. 2.3  No Fleet will be started without at least 4 boats prepared to race.

SCORING


3.1 A boat must compete in 60% of the races completed for her class to qualify for the series. Average Point Scoring will be used with one drop for every 6 races the qualifying boat races in.

Example: 24 races are run in the series, 15 races must be raced in to qualify. The qualifying boat that sailed in 18 races will keep its best 15 races and divided the sum of its races by 15.

4.1 Registration Fee:

$ 15.00 per boat for 1 day of racing $ 50.00 per boat for the series
