NCESA Asymmetrical Experiment                                    29 November 2003

Goal – To determine the viability/performance/fleet interest of a mast head asymmetrical with a high clew as put forward in the final design proposed in Nov 2003.

Description – A two year experiment was approved at the NCESA Directors Meeting for a Mast Head Asymmetrical with carbon sprint and mast jumper stays connected at the top and bottom of the mast through the spreader tips.

2003 Winter Cost
        Hull & mast conversion: $1300
        New Asymmetrical mast head spinnaker $1200.
